Revitalize Your Hair Naturally
In 2014, Korean researchers studied the effects of peppermint essential oil on hair growth in rats ⧉.
In short, peppermint essential oil (PEO) was more effective than minoxidil (commonly known as Rogaine). More effective.
“The peppermint essential oil group showed the most prominent hair growth effects; a significant increase in dermal thickness, follicle number, and follicle depth.”
Peppermint essential oil is natural, inexpensive and classified as “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
My hair started thinning on my 40th birthday.
I thought, “oh really? Just like that?”
I hemmed and hawed, thinking “do I really care?” and “I always swore I would age gracefully.”
I researched “natural hair loss prevention” and found the research paper comparing peppermint essential oil to minoxidil. I thought the results were amazing:
“Peppermint essential oil was clearly dominant when compared with minoxidil and growth was still ongoing.”
I knew a little bit about peppermint because I began purchasing it as a tea. Reading the study and inspired by the results, I decided to try it for a few months.
You can actually try this on your own by simply buying some affordable peppermint essential oil^ from the store. But we’ve dedicated over seven years to experimenting, trying different products and methods – so we provide you with comprehensive instructions and recommendations. Our guidance will save you time, money, and frustration in the long run.

It seems to have worked!
It’s been seven years now and I still have a full head of hair. I had a hairdresser say to me:
“Well, you’re never going bald.”
I wish she didn’t say it! I was like, “knock on wood!” But still, she is a professional!
More recently, I had a second hairstylist say to me, “what lovely, thick hair.” It sounds ridiculous but it’s a direct quote! I didn’t tell her I believe it’s because of peppermint essential oil.
I don’t hear about using peppermint essential oil for hair regrowth and loss prevention — the truth is, no one talks about this part of growing older much, even though we almost all deal with it. So I felt I should share this experience with others. Maybe it can help you, too?
And I also thought that this might be a good business. You don’t need anything from me — you can do this yourself right now, just go to the store and buy some inexpensive peppermint essential oil ⧉^. So I like the idea of of sharing what I know, and if you use my links to purchase anything from Amazon, they pay me a small percentage of the sale.
Obviously personal experience is not actual data.
But the study results are intriguing to say the least. So why hasn’t this scientific breakthrough been followed up on?
My brain says that after results like …
“At week 4, peppermint essential oil showed hair growth about 92%, whereas minoxidil about 55%.”
… more research would have been conducted.
But my gut tells me to “follow the money” — big pharma doesn’t want people to know about a simple, inexpensive, natural option, because once you take that blue pill, you’re on the hook for life!
The possibility that I could use an inexpensive, natural essential oil, instead of a processed, expensive big-pharma racket solution, was a great compromise between my reservations about even caring at all, and the fact that I do care, and want a full head of hair.
Peppermint essential oil has only clinically been tested on rats.
But the results were positive — in fact:
“Peppermint essential oil remarkably promoted hair growth even faster than minoxidil.”
Minoxidil is commonly known as Rogaine. Minoxidil is clinically proven to work for some types of baldness, but there are some considerations before you go that route:
Common side effects of minoxidil include:
- dizziness,
- drowsiness,
- tiredness, and
- temporary edema (swelling)
Other side effects of minoxidil include:
- nausea
- vomiting
- breast pain
- tenderness
- changes in the color, length, or thickness of body or facial hair.
Only some types of baldness are managed by minoxidil and only if you maintain application. Success can peak and fall off over time. And minoxidil — especially at higher (more effective) dosages — can cost as much as $50/month.
